I underestimated very much the time I needed to spend in hospital. I was there until the end of May. Currently I am at the spa in the town Podebrady to recover from my illness. Better to say - to start recovering ...

Unfortunately I am currently in the hospital. And I will be here for another 14 days at least. It was not planned. But it was necessary because my illness is very dangerous. I did not beat the illness yet, next week will be decisive.

I wrote that I want to return to regular blogging 2 months ago, but it was only a wish.
As we continue reconstructing our house and I continue working for some money, there is not much time for other activities. So I am happy I could give here at least photos of new barn roof. Currently also the gables should be finished, but carpenters are very busy and didn't have time for us yet. Maybe next time I will be able to show some progress.

I returned to my blog after relatively long time, I have many thoughts I want to share, but I didn't have enough time and room to gather them and write them to the blog. Now I want to change it and apply myself more to my blogging. One of my reasons is that I found a distant connection in USA and - maybe - something similar could happen in the future.

Some Like It Hot

... and me especially after this winter.
One of my favourite musicians, Jaromir Nohavica, wrote nice song "Ladovska zima" that describes perfectly this winter and feelings of the most of us. Song starts very romantically, almost nostalgically, and this mood is interlaced with realistic comments about the winter and our feelings.
I remember that this winter's weather isn't so anomalous and unusual as one can think after reading comments in newspaper. Main reason is that commentators live in big cities or near them and the winter was so friendly in the past 10 years.
But we have to accustom ourselves that the winter lasts from December to March and sometimes longer, that snow is falling during the whole winter and not only 4 or 5 days and that there could be more than 10 cm of snow.
And we should be prepared for it and enjoy it as much as we can.

This year's weather isn't very pleasant.
But it is possible that the problem is in me and I might enjoy it being (staying) on my cottage. Who knows? :-)
What I know is that I won't enjoy it here in Prague.

This week was very short, because I had to get under control problems from previous week. I can't say whether I was successful, but I feel very tired. The work roundabout runs very fast.

Yes, there was no one day without service request this week.
It looks like the systems can't run without me. Are they missing me? ;-)
Very bad experience for me. I hadn't to solve every accident, but most of them. :-( I must train my colleagues more thoroughly.

It's getting better. Today I had only one call from the office. Maybe tomorrow I won't have any work call and will enjoy my holiday - only that 1 day.

Unfortunately, I was right again. I had to solve the problems with systems today and yesterday. It looks like the systems know that I am on holidays and test my colleague's competency. :-)
Usually my colleagues are successful, but we have to pull our knowledge together to solve it.

I will be on holidays next week. That means that I told my customers that I won't visit them next week. So they will be calling me. I hope that my colleague's will discourage them from it. The best way is to solve all customer's problems. :-) But I know that it is not possible !
My wife has got a message that one of her relatives died and we supposedly will attend the funeral. Add one visit to our doctor, a visit to my wife's parents, someone's visit to us and the week is out. No way to plan a family trip to countryside.
Maybe I will spend some time tidying my home office up.

How the politics and the music relate

Today morning I remembered my New Year's watching TV.
There was a discussion between our Prime Minister and the leader of the strongest opposition political party on one channel. I don't remember the topic of discussion, very probably it was the prospect of this year and the future of our country.
The spectacle was very, very depressive for me. Their view was very simple and similar: they and their parties are the best and the others - opponent and his party - are incompetent. There was one exception from this formula, when they found common enemy (another political party, journalists and similar) and told us in unison how they (enemies) harmed us and our society and how they (our brave politicians) had to protect us against them (enemies). Very disgusting.
So I switched the channel.
What a change! There was live broadcast from Vienna, Austria - Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert conducted by Mariss Jansons. That was a balsam for my soul. It was so appeasing.
I did enjoy it.
And I also was able to forgive our politicians their presence and performance.

I don't know how the politics and the music relate, but I like the music and don't like the politics.

The weather is not very good last 2 weeks. Temperature is about 0° (Celsius) so snow is very wet and is melting all the time. Today afternoon the sun was shining the first time this year. And I was lying in my bed with my flu. It seems to me that it was on purpose. Or I am a hypochondriac and I'd better be out of my bed and go out ...
Who knows?

Yes, today I had to say to my body that there was no flu and I could go to work. I think that my body didn't believe me, but played the game with me.
And it wasn't so bad. They missed me a little bit after 2 days off - I hope. My colleagues wanted to tell me so much information that I wasn't able to embrace. I had to leave at least half of it to go through my ears and not to touch my brain. But they didn't notice it.

I have to admit to myself that the most of my thoughts are not sharable. :-(
Especially now when the flu is about all my body. OK, I can live with it. But I hate it.

And another reason could be that none of my current thoughts is good enough for publishing. :-)))
I am critical to myself, very critical. Maybe I won't take enough courage to publish anything. And all my genius thoughts will remain my secret ones.
As I think about it, it is better for others.

So new year has started, we all invited it with more or less enthusiasm.
It is strange - at one moment there was year 2005 and in less then second we were in year 2006. Last year was a little bit longer, one second I think, because Earth rotates slowly than time goes. Is it true? Scientists decided it.

It is a peculiar feeling for me ... I can write (almost) anything and everyone on the whole world could read it.
I've read a lot of blogs, I like some of them, some not and some I'd rather get out of my mind.
So I wonder what thoughts and feelings will evoke my blog. The most important thing is that it is all up to me. ;-)
